Jessy and Sangil’s Romantic Yarra Valley Wedding Celebration at DiVino Ristorante
Some weddings carry a sense of joy from the very beginning, and Jessy and Sangil’s day at DiVino Ristorante in the Yarra Valley was exactly that.
Soft summer light, views across the vines, and a relaxed energy at all times created an incredible atmosphere throughout their wedding celebration.
A ceremony among the vines
Held on our bocce court overlooking the vineyard, their ceremony embraced everything people love about the Yarra Valley.
Sugarbee Flowers designed a beautiful floral arch in pastel shades of peach, blush and lilac, framing the hills in the loveliest way.
The afternoon was sunny and a little windy, which kept us busy securing the flower stands, but the gentle movement in the breeze brought life to every photo captured by the talented Stephen Yau.
Their celebrant and MC, Alana Tran, led a heartfelt and light-filled ceremony. Afterwards, guests gathered on the lawn with canapés and their first glasses of sparkling wine as the celebrations began.
An elegant degustation menu
Jessy and Sangil selected our five course Gold Degustation Package, allowing them to tailor each dish for their intimate group of fifty.
The menu included beetroot marinated kingfish with horseradish cream, slow cooked pork belly with raspberry jus, squid ink crab ravioli and slow braised beef oyster blade with silky potato purée.
Instead of a plated dessert, the couple chose a buffet style dessert table, which kept everyone close to the dance floor and encouraged guests to mingle. Lavender crème brûlée, saffron pannacotta and a beautiful two tier cake by Bellsie Cakes made it a sweet highlight.
It created a relaxed, social moment at the end of dinner that suited the couple perfectly.
Personal touches
With a smaller guest list, we could give extra attention to the flow of the day, from the pacing of the degustation to the layout of the décor and florals.
We also provided our DiVino candle and aisle hire pieces, styled to complement Sugarbee’s colours and create a seamless transition from the outdoor ceremony to the reception inside. The whole atmosphere felt refined yet easy going, warm, romantic and full of laughter.
Planning and coordination
Every wedding at DiVino Ristorante includes a menu tasting and a detailed planning meeting with myself, Sofia Moretti, a few months before the big day.
After the tasting, we sit together to confirm the full timeline, including ceremony and reception times, dietary requirements, supplier contacts, MC schedules, speeches and service flow.
This meeting allows everything to be finalised well ahead of time so couples can simply enjoy the lead up to their wedding. From the first enquiry to the final dance, I guide each couple through the process and offer recommendations on styling, trusted suppliers and floor plan design.
On the day itself, our team manages every element, from ceremony setup to food and beverage service, transitions between moments and the timing of speeches. This ensures the day runs smoothly and feels effortless for everyone involved.
A day to remember
What truly made this wedding special was the warmth that we could really feel between Jessy, Sangil and their guests.
The laughter, the toasts and the energy on the dance floor captured everything we love about hosting weddings at DiVino Ristorante. Beautiful food, relaxed hospitality and the feeling of being surrounded by people who care.
We are honoured to have hosted their celebration, a lovely blend of vineyard charm and Italian warmth.
